Journeys

Most people travel for the destination. SHIGEYOSHI is about the in-betweens.

  • A weather balloon drifting over Monument Valley at dusk

  • Starlink satellites gliding silently across the sky over Valley of the Gods — so new and strange that most people thought they were just ordinary satellites

  • Wild donkeys standing in the road at Mexican Hat at midnight, staring into the headlights like they owned the place

  • An osprey rising out of a mountain lake and flying alongside the vehicle as if showing us the way

  • A marmot standing at attention on the rocks in the Rockies, unbothered, looking out over the same view we were

  • Anticrepuscular rays fanning across an empty highway at 7am that everyone else drove past without stopping

  • A local selling honey at a Ouray (yoo-RAY) overlook — the stop we almost didn't make

  • A lavender farm in Oregon where the owner let us stay after hours to shoot the Milky Way over the fields and Mt. Hood

  • August snow at Mt. Rainier when we came for the stars

  • The Ape Caves in Washington — ancient lava tubes, complete darkness, and a single shaft of light through the ceiling

It's not about the destination. It's about seeing things differently along the way.

These are not foo-foo excursions.

SHIGEYOSHI journeys are built for women who want the real thing. That may mean early mornings to catch the light, late evenings under the stars, or an occasional dirt road to reach somewhere worth it.

You will not be pampered — no bag carrying, no cocktail service, no itinerary designed around comfort. You will be present. And you will go home with something no one can take away.

Milky Way nights possible on select dates. Weather dependent.
